Artist’s Statement
My work explores and reinterprets architectural space. Owendale North and Owendale South take their inspiration from a wind farm near Owendale in Southern Alberta, Canada. I have studied and abstracted this space through the processes of drawing, model making and printmaking. The work moves from 2D to 3D and back again, the process driving the evolution and abstraction of the work. The two prints are studies of a three-dimensional modelled space at two extremes. The same model is depicted twice: in its first form, and then, when it has been completely turned in on itself, thus contradicting one another whilst exploring the same space.
£1500 for the entire Contra Portfolio of eight prints in custom solander box. |
