Knowles, Justin (1935-2004), 'S.120.01', Screenprint, 2002

'S.120.01', Screenprint, 2002

Initialled and dated by the artist in pencil. Numbered from the edition of 25.

"These screenprints were adapted from drawings Knowles originally made as preparatory studies for his sculpture, but which he also considers separate works. The source drawings were made of geometrical shapes cut from brightly coloured paper collaged onto graph paper in a variety of arrangements. 'S.120.01' consists of four black lines forming a broken frame around a number of schematic, partially defined overlapping circles made up of arcs of various lengths." - quotation Tate
