Inscribed in pencil by Sir Frank Short: ‘Rawlinson proof after mezzotint has been cleared off’.

Printed on laid paper, watermarked Van Gelder.


Printed by W.R.G Rawlinson who purchased the copper plate. Having had the mezzotint removed he discovered that the etching was still in good condition, and having restored a few missing lines he printed a few impressions.

Needs clean.
