Turner's drawing, belonging to the National Gallery (Turner Bequest) is in monochrome wash, chalk, etc, and differs in method from other drawings. It was engraved in pure mezzotint, probably by Dawe. Only six engraver's proofs are recorded. The print was neither completed nor published. Short's plate is also in pure mezzotint.
